Linux just plain sucks

Theo goes off in style.

My favourite comment from the end of the article : “Right in the kernel, in the heart of the operating system, I found a developer’s comment that said, ‘Does this belong here?’ “Lok says. “What kind of confidence does that inspire? Right then I knew it was time to switch.”

CPU-Z Information

CPU-Z is a program which tells you all about your CPU and motherboard configuration. Useful if you don’t want to open up the case and peer through dust.

DVD handling just got better

As it reads on the site “RatDVD is the result of my downloading experiences. Downloading movies, even DVD rips never really worked out to what I expected.

If you have the budget for the minimum order of 50 pods, you can get your own logo’s printed on the lid at PodDirect. Pods are used to help spread the paintball virus by providing the player with a handy source of paintball love.

Mythbusters

Hardware produce unexpected results

I had temporarlily connected a 40gb drive up to my system to copy some files across to it. Somehow it’s partition information has copied across to one of my hard drives during the excercise.

In short I’ve just lost 120Gb of personal photos, paintball videos of our team and my less listened to Mp3 folders.

On the smallest of happy sides I’ve got heaps of drive space free now.
